The Equatorial Guinea Flag was adopted on October 12th, 1968. The beautiful blue shows the sea, the green symbolizes the tropical forests and natural riches, the white shows peace, and the red stands for the bloodshed in the fight for freedom. The tree is like the one King Bonkoro signed a treaty with Spain in 1843. The small six stars represent the six districts of the state.
