The Maine Flag was adopted on February 24th, 1909. The state arms are placed in the center of the Maine Flag. The arms has a white pine tree that refers to the state’s nickname, The Pine Tree State . The moose symbolizes the acres of untouched forest. The farmer represents the agriculture. The fisherman shows the many fisheries and commerce. The star with the motto, I direct . This star is the Northern Star, which help direct travelers.
Flag Quality:
This flag is made in America of tough, durable and long-lasting nylon fabric, with solid brass grommets. You won’t find nylon flags with higher tensile and tear strength.
It has excellent strength retention under UV exposure, and high resistance to UV fading. These are deeper, brighter colors that last over time, due to the aniline dyeing process, with better wash-fastness and light-fastness than nylons of similar fabric construction.
This flag has a one inch double edge fold around the edges, with four rows of stitching on the fly edge where the flag needs the greatest strength.
In addition, there is 1 1/2 inch reinforced stitching vertically at the fly corners, and 3 1/2 inch reinforced hem stitching (horizontal) at top and bottom of the fly.

Peter Arnold –
Great quality – arrived on time and it was exactly what i ordered.
The Woke One party Maine state govt is trying to get rid of this classic flag and replace it with a “ gender neutral ” one. This one tells the story about our Maine Fisherman & Maine Farmers , who were ( and still are) the backbone of our state.
Im making sure the one I like flys for a long long time at my home .
